Georgia Coastal Zone Management Program
Program Overview
The Georgia Coastal Management Program was approved by NOAA in 1998, with Georgia’s Department of Natural Resources, Coastal Resources Division, serving as the lead agency. The Georgia Coastal Management Act authorized the creation of the Georgia Coastal Management Program.
The Georgia coastal zone includes the state’s six coastal counties and five inland counties.
