Texas Coastal Zone Management Program
Program Overview
The Texas Coastal Management Program was approved by NOAA in 1996 and is administered by the Texas General Land Office in conjunction with the Coastal Coordination Advisory Committee. The Coastal Coordination Act is the primary authority for the Texas Coastal Management Program.
The Texas coastal zone is generally the area seaward of the Texas coastal facility designation line, up to three marine leagues into the Gulf of Mexico.
